

The PWRC has volunteer opportunities in areas such as:
Board of Directors - attend monthly
meetings with a focus on creating a new wildlife
rehabilitation centre, fundraising, assist in grant writing.
Animal Care - assist in the daily care and
feeding of injured and orphaned wildlife, fostering of
critical care and infant patients.
Education Team - perform educational
presentations to school and community groups, public events,
mall/festival booths, special functions. Possibility to
work with non-releasable education ambassadors.
Newsletter Team - help create a newsletter
for public distribution about the news, stories and
happenings of the PWRC and wildlife issues in Manitoba. Can
entail writing articles, editing stories, and formatting
layout.
Construction - building large and small
projects from squirrel release boxes to outdoor enclosures.
Grant Writing - filling out grant
applications for operational funding or special projects.
Runners - shuttle injured and orphaned
wildlife to and from various locations.
Fundraisers & Special Event Assistants -
assist with running special fundraising events or selling
various items.
There are more ways than those listed above that people can
help out and volunteer. If you have a special skill that
would be useful to the PWRC please contact us and let us
know. We are always looking for volunteers in all aspects
from animal transport to office help! Anyone wanting to
become a volunteer must attend an orientation session first.
